Heart of Jazz Foundation Annual Scholarship

The Heart of Jazz Foundation Annual Scholarship is funded by the Heart of Jazz Foundation for first-time, regularly admitted freshmen who are enrolled full-time in the jazz studies program and who demonstrate musical talent and financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government), with primary preference given to an African-American student who is a resident of New Jersey, secondary preference given to an African-American student who is a resident of any state outside of New Jersey, and tertiary preference given to a Latinx student who is a resident of New Jersey; the scholarship is renewable for up to four years if a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is maintained.

The recipients of this scholarship are selected by the Department of Music.
