Gene J. Bertoncini Music Annual Scholarship

The Gene J. Bertoncini Music Annual Scholarship was established in honor of William Paterson faculty member Gene J. Bertoncini, “The Segovia of Jazz,” for a full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is majoring in music education, jazz studies, or music performance, has a minimum cumulative grade point average 3.0, and demonstrates financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government), with preference given to guitarists. Recipient(s) will be selected based on musical talent, academic success, and financial need.

The recipient of this scholarship is selected by the Department of Music.
